Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a patient transport associate to move and position patients, transport specimens and equipment, and support units across the hospital. Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment and supplies related to patient care.
• Ability to read, write, converse, and understand English.
• Ability to take direction, set priorities and organize work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Move, lift and position patients according to safety procedures.
• Transport patients, specimens, medications and supplies across units.
• Maintain cleanliness and order on the assigned unit and assist with equipment setup.
• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor and arrange repair.
