Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Patient Support Program Strategy for an individualized therapy.

This role will define the vision, governance, and service models for patient support, enrollment, affordability, and data management across a complex reimbursement landscape. The role requires 5+ years in pharma/biotech with patient access and hub strategy experience, plus strong cross-functional leadership and vendor management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech with patient services, access, reimbursement or hub strategy experience.
• Experience designing and optimizing patient support programs, hub services, or access capabilities.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, benefits investigation, prior authorization, and enrollment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve PSP strategy, service model, and capabilities including affordability and workflow design.
• Design enrollment and consent processes supporting patient participation and data collection.
• Partner with vendors to translate strategy into operational execution and ensure alignment with patient experience and business objectives.
• Establish governance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement plans with stakeholders across functions.
