Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks an Associate Director to shape the Patient Support Program strategy for a potentially launch-ready, mRNA-based neoantigen therapy in oncology. You will define services, enrollment, affordability and data strategies, ensuring compliant execution across stakeholders and vendors.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with Market Access, Legal, Privacy, and Finance to deliver a patient-centered program with scalable operations and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech with patient services, access, reimbursement or hub strategy.
• Experience designing and optimizing patient support programs and hub services.
• Strong understanding of payer dynamics, benefits investigation, prior authorization and enrollment requirements.
• Experience with enrollment, consent, data strategies and PHI privacy considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve PSP strategy, service model, and capabilities.
• Design enrollment and multi-consent processes for patient participation and data collection.
• Define hub governance, workflows, and escalation pathways for therapy-specific needs.
• Develop affordability strategy, copay programs, and financial assistance solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to translate strategy into operations.
• Oversee vendor performance, establish service expectations and metrics.
• Establish program analytics and reporting to drive improvements.
• Collaborate across Market Access, Finance, Legal, Compliance and IT for launch readiness.
