Mount Sinai Health System in the United States seeks a patient transport and service assistant. You will assist with meal delivery, escort patients, help with menu selections, and support nursing and nutrition teams to ensure safe, comfortable patient care.

Duties include stocking supplies, moving items, and light cleaning while preserving patient charts and dignity. 0-1 year of experience and a high school diploma or GED are required; this role is covered by SEIU 1199-MSH.

Competenze

High School diploma or GED required.
0-1 year experience suggested.

Mansioni

Advise patients of diet changes and menu selections with nursing/nutrition.
Assist patients and guests with menu selections.
Deliver newspapers daily.
Damp and sanitize surfaces as needed.
Deliver meals including Kosher Kitchen meals and set up with linen.
Escort ambulatory patients outside the unit.
Stock nourishment in patient areas.
Transport patients on stretcher or wheelchair.
Transport patients' belongings to and from the unit.
Provide patients with needed items such as linens and literature.
Maintain patient charts while off the unit and release to authorized personnel.
Ensure patient is ready for meal delivery and confirm menu with nursing/nutrition.
Spot-clean walls, windows, furniture as needed.
Stock deliveries to the floor as requested.
Other related duties as assigned.
