Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Current or previous experience as a transporter preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and/or patients with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to be flexible and self-directed.
• Effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to/from all patient units & designated treatment areas in a timely manner and in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Perform or assist with the movement of patients; assist with transport/transfer of patients from chair/bed, bed/stretcher, etc.
• Performance of specific environmental and support functions.
• Maintenance of required supplies and equipment; ensure equipment used for transport is safe, clean, and easily accessible.
• Practice effective communication and collaboration with other health care members.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
