Job summary

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative Trainer to lead onboarding and ongoing education for our front desk teams. The role focuses on coaching, performance support, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality patient experience across locations.

The PSR Trainer will train new hires, provide continuous coaching, conduct quality audits, and update training materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or clinic environment.
• Strong proficiency in front desk operations and insurance verification.
• Experience in training and mentoring others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Train and onboard newly hired Patient Services Representatives.
• Provide ongoing education, coaching, and performance feedback to established PSRs.
• Conduct routine quality audits and track training progress.
• Maintain and update PSR training materials, procedures, and guides.
• Collaborate with PSR Supervisors to identify training needs and improvement opportunities.
• Support front desk operations across locations, including check-in/check-out, registration, and patient assistance.
• Verify insurance coverage, referrals, and authorizations to ensure accurate and efficient patient processing.
• Monitor front desk workflows to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
• Assist with collecting co-pays, posting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic health record system.
• Handle patient interactions with professionalism, maintaining composure in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
