Job summary

UW Medical Center Montlake is seeking a Patient Services Specialist Supervisor to lead the Health Unit Coordinator team and oversee staff scheduling, payroll and educational tracking. This on-site role emphasizes superb patient and team service and efficient unit operations in a busy oncology setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a medically related field plus four years as a Health Unit Coordinator, or equivalent education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a medically related or public relations field is required.
• Four years of experience as a Health Unit Coordinator is required.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor staff, scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
• Provide customer service to patients, staff and medical team members.
• Interview and recommend candidates for hiring.
• Order unit supplies and manage facilities.
• Lead health unit operations and supervise staff.
• Collect, manage, and report unit data.
• Other assigned duties.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a medically related field

High School diploma + four years HUC experience + UW Supervisory Skill Certificate
