Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake is seeking a Patient Services Specialist Supervisor for a full-time days role, on-site in Seattle. You will supervise the Health Unit Coordinator staff, monitor scheduling, payroll, and education tracking while ensuring compassionate patient care alongside the medical team.

The position emphasizes staff leadership, data reporting, and efficient unit operations in a premier academic medical center setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a medically related or public relations field and four years of experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.
• Or High School graduation with four years experience as a Health Unit Coordinator and a UW Supervisory Skill Certificate.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor staff, scheduling systems, payroll and timekeeping systems, educational tracking systems and other systems that support the Nurse Manager.
• Provide customer service to patients, staff and medical team members.
• Interview and recommend the selection of candidates.
• Order unit supplies, equipment and facilities management.
• Take a proactive role in efficient operations of the unit.
• Responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of the Health Unit Coordinator and other assigned staff.
• Managing, collecting and reporting of unit data.
• Other assigned duties.
