Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is hiring for an entry‑level hospital/outpatient billing and front office role. You will schedule walk‑ins in the EMR, check in patients, and handle patient registrations with accuracy and attention to detail.

You will verify insurance, collect co‑pays, and post payments in the EMR system while maintaining compliant documentation and a clean, organized facility. This is a full‑time, on‑site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of one year’s experience in hospital or outpatient billing, insurance verification, collections, payment posting and front office experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all walk-ins accurately in the hospital EMR system.
• Register and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring smooth intake process.
• Complete new patient registration in hospital EMR with precision and attention to detail.
• Perform daily reporting in the hospital EMR systems; collect co-pays, post to patient accounts and issue receipts.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with organizational standards.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations as required.
• Assemble and distribute new patient information packets; scan documents into EMR system.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization within the facility.
• Assume any other responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
