Job summary

Solis Mammography in Rowlett, TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative PRN to be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly, registering information, posting payments and assisting with forms.

This role supports the front desk flow, handles payments and insurance verification, schedules appointments, and maintains patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but sometimes complex written or oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; RIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Register patients with demographic and insurance information in RIS.
• Explain forms and assist with completion.
• Process paperwork and maintain confidentiality.
• Collect patient payments and explain benefits; verify insurance when necessary.
• Prepare paperwork for future appointments and payors.
• Ensure diagnostic test orders are in place and follow up on requests.
• Schedule and reschedule patients; generate daily invoice journal and reconcile payments.
• Participate in front office training to stay current with policies.
