Job summary

Solis Mammography in Texas is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them, registering demographic and insurance information into our RIS, and posting payments. This critical front-office role helps maintain the center’s flow and contributes to our high-quality patient experience.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday with up to two Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• Two years of healthcare registration or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but sometimes complex written or oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations; sit/stand for long periods.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; RIS software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Register patients with demographic and insurance information into RIS.
• Explain forms to patients and assist with completion.
• Process necessary paperwork and maintain confidentiality.
• Collect patient payments and explain benefits when necessary.
• Verify insurance when necessary.
• Schedule and reschedule patients as needed.
• Generate daily invoice journal and reconcile payments.
• Participate in front office training to stay current with policies.
