PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily service activities in the PSC or in-office setting under supervision. You will interact with clients, patients, and staff, performing forensic and clinical specimen collection following established procedures.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, proper specimen handling, and maintaining a professional environment while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; may be required by state guidelines.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; required in Louisiana.
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and treat everyone courteously.
• Ensure all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Dispose of biohazard materials per laws and policies.
• Enter patient and test information into PathConnect and other systems.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Maintain daily logs and PSC/IOPST records; assist with monthly statistics.
• Perform basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
