Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients and verify information in the EMR.
• Document all phone calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and/or consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and entering demographic data; verify insurance information.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and IDs; handle sign-offs and pre-certifications when needed.
• Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educate on financial assistance; process payments.
• Stay current on duties by reviewing communications and dashboards to maintain high performance.
