Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for the Anderson & Fairfield Physician Offices. You will handle patient registration, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, explain financial options, and ensure accurate medical records.

You may cover other physician practice locations as needed. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong communication, and efficient use of MyChart and your office scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain financial options to patients and assist with scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and provide respectful service; handle calls and scheduling accurately.
• Verify demographics, insurance information and process registrations.
• Assist with patient payments and reconcile cash at day end.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations and follow-up appointments as needed.
