Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and be able to greet patients and visitors professionally.
• Experience handling phone calls and coordinating patient scheduling and registrations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to collect co-pays, deductibles and process billing-related tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data entry into EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and answer phones in a courteous manner.
• Register new patients and update demographics and insurance information.
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances; assist with billing as needed.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and authorizations when required.
• Ensure accurate charting and proper offloading of tasks between staff and clinicians.
