Job summary

Allegro Pediatrics is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and families, delivering excellent customer service in clinic and over the phone. You will schedule appointments, verify demographics, and process insurance and HIPAA forms across Eastside clinics in Issaquah and Redmond.

The role is full-time with 4/10-hour shifts (40 hours weekly) and a 1.5 year commitment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in computer navigation, task management, and using multiple software programs.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Able to maintain good attendance.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and people skills.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Willing to travel to all Allegro Pediatrics clinics as staffing needs change.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments using the Practice Management system.
• Check in/out patients and verify demographics in clinic.
• Troubleshoot appointment or account issues.
• Explain policies to help families find the best outcomes.
• Verify and scan insurance and HIPAA forms.
• Collect co-pays and post them to accounts.
• Work across Allegro clinics as needed for coverage.
• Maintain knowledge of office equipment.
• Process medical record releases.
• Handle mail, shuttle, and fax correspondence.
• Process forms such as camp physicals and sports forms.
• Take messages for physicians/nurses.
• Support front/back office projects.
• Maintain patient and corporate confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Stay updated on workflow changes and company communications.
