Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with PC-based applications and typing skills.
• Two years of experience in medical billing, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Epic or similar health records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/out.
• Guide use of self-arrival tech or desk check-in.
• Collect copayments and any payments at point of service.
• Verify and update patient registration at checkout.
• Schedule follow-up appointments at checkout.
• Arrange scheduling for ancillary services at checkout.
• Explain financial responsibilities and connect patients to resources as needed.
• Verify insurance benefits via online systems or by phone.
• Triage phone calls to appropriate areas or providers.
• Assist with scanning and faxing of medical records.
