Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Office Based Patient Service Specialist to join a cross-trained team at our health center. The role covers pre-registration, registration, appointment confirmation, scheduling, and answering inbound calls while greeting patients with excellent service.

The position is non-exempt, full-time, with pay in the range of $16.17–$19.41 per hour and requires strong computer skills, basic math, and cash handling. Travel to various sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Preferred experience in medical, dental, or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a professional manner and provides courteous customer service.
• Demonstrates AIDET with patients, guests, and staff.
• Answers calls promptly and follows standard procedures for scheduling and visits.
• Coordinates patient flow with clinical staff and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Manages appointment scheduling, confirmations, and no-show tracking.
