Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. The role focuses on greeting, scheduling, information verification, and resolving patient needs to ensure excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to ensure satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person or via secure messaging.
• Identify and resolve patient needs related to intake and care to ensure a superior experience.
• Document all calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and IDs as required.
