Job summary

Mercy Clinic Spine & Pain Management – Southfork in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, register them, verify identities, and help maintain smooth clinic flow.

The role involves scheduling, handling Epic tasks, managing cash drawers, and supporting provider schedules while upholding privacy and infection control standards. Strong customer service and basic computer skills are essential; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; verify identity and manage check-in/check-out.
• Answer phones and perform clerical tasks including Epic charting, scanning, faxing, and document handling.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and testing; provide timely estimates and Good Faith Estimates.
• Monitor provider schedules, communicate delays, and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Maintain accurate registration, EHRs, and assigned work queues.
• Handle patient concerns professionally and elevate as needed.
• Manage daily cash drawer, accounts receivable tasks, and payment plans.
• Support EPIC updates, departmental initiatives, and clinic communications.
• Maintain a safe, clean reception area and adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
