Job summary

BJC Medical Group, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative in Saint Louis, MO. The role supports front office operations, patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and patient financial records, with potential switchboard duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, prefer outpatient medical office settings, and will work a day shift on a 40-hour week. This position is benefit eligible and located in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a medical front office.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including assignment of diagnostic codes and entering physician and clinic charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
