BJC Medical Group in Farmington, Missouri is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative to serve as the first point of contact in the front office. You will handle patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and maintain patient financial records.

The role requires verifying insurance information, educating patients on regulations, collecting payments, and performing data entry related to charges. Day shift with no call, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism in front-desk duties.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
