BJC Medical Group in O'Fallon, MO is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative for Family & Internal Medicine. You will handle patient check-ins, schedule appointments, and maintain financial records in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

This role emphasizes accurate insurance verification, data entry, and collaboration with the Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured. 40 hours per week, day shift, benefit eligible, with no call, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in front office or patient services.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Outpatient check-in and appointment scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
