Job summary

BJC Medical Group, Farmington, Missouri, is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative to manage front desk operations, check-ins and appointment scheduling. This role emphasizes accurate patient financial records and may operate as a switchboard when needed.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years’ relevant experience, with preferred Medical Office exposure, and a High School Diploma or GED. 40-hour weeks, day shift, with benefits and no weekend commitments.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include assigning diagnostic codes and entering physician/clinic charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
