Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Winghaven is seeking a full-time Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact in the front office for the outpatient clinic. You will manage patient check-ins, schedule appointments, and support smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Responsibilities include answering calls, verifying health insurance, collecting payments, data entry for service charges, and coordinating with the Central Billing Office to ensure accurate charges.

Qualifications

• Front desk and appointment scheduling experience.
• Experience handling patient calls and check-in/out processes.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and patient payments.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
