Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Patient Services Representative for the Infectious Disease Clinic to support front-desk operations and clinic flow.

The role includes scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, greeting patients, and data entry in the EMR, with Level 1 or Level 2 based on experience. This is a full-time on-site position in the HB Infectious Diseases Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of professional work experience for Level 1.
• 3+ years of customer service experience incl. clinical setting for Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments by phone or in person.
• Obtains and updates patient demographics.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and processes encounters.
• Greets patients and directs them to appropriate staff.
• Uses EMR for charting and record keeping.
• Balances cash drawer and processes payments.
• Promotes patient portal for communication.
