  2. Acts as Call Center operator and handles all in-coming and out-going mail.
  3. Interviewing new patients to secure demographic information; registering individuals and families as MNHC patients; logging patient information into the computer; and initiating the medical record.
  4. Verifying the patient’s record and updating as needed to ensure accuracy.
  5. Acting as a cashier: determining the amount of payment as per protocol, collecting payments, and maintaining appropriate collection documentation.
  6. Completing applications for health insurance coverage such as CHDP, Family Planning, Cancer Detection Program, Healthy San Francisco or PCP changes for the SFHP accurately. Updating insurance plans as needed.
  7. Checking insurance eligibility before every appointment using the MNHC eligibility tool; making necessary updates; and contacting patients to inform them of any issues.
  8. Monitoring and scheduling appointments for MNHC patients over the phone and in person.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).
  2. H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

  6. Familiarity with Third-Party Reimbursement programs preferred.
  7. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with patient records and personal information.
  8. As a condition of employment, all candidates are required to provide documentation of current immunizations, including COVID-19 and TB test results valid within the last two (2) years must be submitted before the start date.
