Job summary

Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative (Medical Receptionist) to be the first point of contact and ensure a welcoming, efficient patient experience. You will manage front-office tasks, assist with administrative duties, and support clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask across EMR systems and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail with multitasking in a busy environment.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR software experience, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing patient and business docs.
• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate payment policies.
• Determine and collect patient financial responsibility.
• Support practice manager, providers, and staff for smooth operations.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance in documentation and processes.
• Perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Oversee quality assurance programs and patient result trackers.
• Travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
