Job summary

Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact, handling front-office operations, administrative tasks, and supporting clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

We offer 12-hour shifts on a 3-day/12-hour schedule with no overnights, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth. Travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations may be required. Pay is $17 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to multitask across multiple screens; EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing documents.
• Insurance Verification: Analyze insurance benefits and verify eligibility.
• Financial Responsibility: Determine and collect patient's financial responsibility.
• Collaborative Support: Assist staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Compliance: Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and guidelines for documentation.
• Administrative Duties: Perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure quality programs and patient result trackers.
• Travel Requirement: Travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
