Corewell Health Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming and efficient patient experience. You will manage front-office operations, assist with administrative tasks, and support clinic workflow in a fast-paced health care setting.

The role emphasizes customer service, problem solving, and teamwork, with a 12-hour shift schedule (3 days per week) and no overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Technical skills to operate multiple screens and EMR software (EPIC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: maintain confidentiality and organize documents.
• Insurance Verification: verify eligibility and explain payment policies.
• Financial Responsibility: collect patient payments and explain costs clearly.
• Collaborative Support: assist practice manager, providers, and staff for smooth operations.
• Compliance: adhere to HIPAA/OSHA and related guidelines.
• Administrative Duties: perform office tasks and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: ensure quality programs and patient result trackers.
• Travel Requirement: support staffing at other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed.
