Job summary

Core Dermatology is seeking an experienced Patient Services Specialist to join our team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on delivering superior customer service while coordinating patient care and billing processes across our dermatology offices.

The ideal candidate greets and guides patients, schedules appointments, collects demographic and financial information, verifies insurance, and handles payments with accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR’s).

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, instruct, and schedule patients, clients and visitors.
• Assist patients in scheduling appointments for multiple providers across locations.
• Obtain demographic and financial information from patients.
• Explain and obtain signatures for legal and compliance documents.
• Verify patients’ insurance coverage electronically.
• Collect patient payments and post payment data.
• Enter daily billing information after appointments.
• Maintain a friendly, professional approach to meet patient needs.
• Provide excellent customer service on the phone and in person.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements.
