Job summary

Hmixray is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients and verify insurance while collecting necessary information and coordinating appointments in a radiology setting.

You will provide orientation on prep and safety procedures, handle documentation, and work with back-office staff to support timely care. A professional demeanor and strong communication are essential to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for customer service and ability to stay professional in all situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients, guests, and colleagues.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with structured prioritization.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; radiology office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures and complete required documentation.
• Collect and log co-pays and fees.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Provide orientation on prep and safety protocols; give directions to facilities.
• Coordinate with back-office staff to ensure timely patient care.
• Safeguard patient health information and facility property.
• Maintain compliance with company policies regarding medications on site.
• Demonstrate professionalism toward patients and coworkers; respect boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact with patients and families in a diplomatic, sympathetic manner.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
