The role reviews EMR records, schedules appointments, shares referral statuses, and manages Athena buckets while upholding HIPAA guidelines. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route incoming calls on a high-volume system.
• Transfer calls to appropriate employee or department per flow chart.
• Review unsorted EMR records and move to correct buckets.
• Provide clinic and appointment information to callers.
• Schedule tasks and provide referral status updates.
• Manage assigned Athena buckets and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues; communicate professionally.
