Nutex Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PRN Flex) to support the Emergency Center at the Post Falls facility. The role focuses on efficient check-in/check-out, accurate patient information collection, billing support, and professional patient interactions in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma, at least two years in a PSR role within a hospital/ER/clinic, and familiarity with ER registration and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years as PSR in hospital, ER, or clinic.
• Experience with medical registration, admitting and scheduling in ER preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and guests at front desk and direct to services.
• Collect demographic information and obtain signatures for billing.
• Manage patient inquiries by phone and maintain logs.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile daily accounts.
• Maintain clean and welcoming environment and supplies.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in improvement activities.

Patient Services Representative PRN Flex

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) plays a crucial role in the emergency center's operational efficiency by ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process for patients. The role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety. This position is integral to fostering a supportive and efficient environment in the Emergency Center, ensuring patients receive the care they need while upholding the standards of the healthcare facility.

Qualifications required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Patient Services Representative (PSR) role within a Hospital, ER, or Clinic
• Previous experience in medical registration, admitting, and scheduling in an ER setting is preferred

Essential Job functions and responsibilities

• Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and guests with a cheerful demeanor, determine necessary services and direct patients accordingly, collect demographic information and ensure proper signatures for billing accuracy, maintain logs of patient information and manage phone inquiries professionally, manage office supplies and maintain a clean and welcoming environment
• Financial Responsibilities: Collect payments via cash, checks, and credit card for co-pays and account balances, maintain an accurate financial ledger and perform daily reconciliation of patient accounts
• Facility Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility, including patient areas and restrooms
• Communication Skills: Interact courteously with patients, families, physicians, and team members, upholding the Emergency Center's core values
• Professional Development: Attend monthly staff meetings and engage in performance improvement activities
• Other Duties: Assist management with additional tasks or projects as assigned

Nonessential Job functions

• Support patient care areas by ensuring appropriate supplies are stocked
• Assist with patient restraint procedures and documentation as needed
• Attend scheduled meetings as required
