Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, LLC is seeking a Patient Services Representative II to join our front office in Sandy Springs, GA. This full-time, on-site role handles patient check-in/out, payments, scheduling, and front-office coordination.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in a medical setting, excellent communication, and familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Epic. Join a fast-paced, patient-centered team dedicated to quality orthopedic care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
• Strong customer service and a patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in and out, and assist with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately, while explaining financial policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-up.
• Input and update patient demographics, case injury information, insurance details, and referrals into the EMR system.
• Open and close the front office, maintain a clean and organized waiting area, and monitor appointment reschedules or cancellations.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain necessary forms, and coordinate with outside facilities for imaging or referrals.
• Work assigned EMR buckets and support clinical staff with documentation and follow-through.
• Assist with daily cash drawer reconciliation, deposits, and billing charge entry to ensure accurate end-of-day financial reporting.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Representative II at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
• Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and discretion with patient information
• Experience with front office leadership, financial reconciliation, and insurance verification preferred
