Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, the leading independent orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Georgia, seeks a Patient Services Representative to join our front desk team. You will greet patients, manage check-ins/outs, handle insurance inquiries, and guide them through payments and scheduling in a fast-paced office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and answer questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining policies.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer calls, and ensure timely patient communication.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR.
• Open/close the front office, maintain waiting area cleanliness, and manage EMR buckets.
• Work independently while being a strong team player.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR “buckets” to support clinic flow
• Thrive in a fast-paced, people-facing role
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and staff

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
