Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join a fast-paced orthopedic practice in Fayetteville, GA. You will greet patients, manage check-ins/outs, handle insurance questions, and collect payments in a patient-focused environment.

The role requires strong customer service, medical terminology knowledge, and EMR familiarity. You will schedule appointments, update records in the EMR, and support clinic operations in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or clinical setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in/out, answer questions on appointments/insurance.
• Collect co-pays and balances, explain policies as needed.
• Schedule appointments and handle patient calls; ensure timely communication.
• Enter patient demographics and visit details into EMR.
• Keep front office organized, manage EMR buckets to support clinic flow.
• Collaborate with team and work independently when needed.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR “buckets” to support clinic flow
• Thrive in a fast-paced, people-facing role
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and staff

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus)

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and discretion with patient information
