Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Duluth, GA is seeking a friendly front desk professional to greet patients, manage check-in/out, and assist with insurance questions in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic.

You will collect co-pays, schedule appointments, input patient data into the EMR, and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver patient-centered care. A high school diploma and 2+ years in medical office preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems.
• Strong customer service skills and patient-focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check in/out, answer questions about appointments and procedures.
• Collect co-pays and balances; explain financial policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer calls, ensure timely communication.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR.
• Open/close the front office; keep waiting area clean and organized; manage EMR buckets.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, patient-facing role.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and staff.
• Juggle multiple responsibilities with poise and attention to detail.
• Love organizing tasks and solving front-desk challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR “buckets” to support clinic flow

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
