Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Augusta, GA is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our front desk team. You’ll welcome patients, check them in and out, and assist with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.

You’ll collect co-pays and balances, schedule visits, manage calls, and ensure timely communication. The role requires a High School diploma and familiarity with EMR systems; Epic is a plus, with customer service at the core.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check in/out, and assist with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and balances; explain policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer calls, and ensure timely patient communication.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details in the EMR system.
• Open and close the front office, keep waiting area organized, support clinic flow.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and staff.
• Juggle multiple tasks with poise and attention to detail.

What You\’ll Do

As a Patient Services Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR “buckets” to support clinic flow
• Thrive in a fast-paced, people-facing role

What You\u2019ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
