Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet and assist patients, manage check-ins/outs, and handle insurance questions in a busy orthopedic clinic.

You will collect payments, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system, contributing to a positive, patient-centered experience. Join a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and discretion with patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in/out, and answer questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances while explaining policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments and answer incoming calls for timely communication.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details in the EMR system.
• Open/close front office, keep waiting area tidy, and manage EMR buckets to support clinic flow.
• Work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with clear communication and compassion.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR "buckets" to support clinic flow
