Job summary

OrthoAtlanta is seeking a Patient Services Representative for its McDonough, GA location. This on-site, full-time role handles front-desk duties, patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, payments, and EMR data entry in a fast-paced orthopedic practice.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in a medical office, with strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Epic EMR familiarity is a plus, and benefits accompany the hourly compensation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in/out, and assist with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances while explaining policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer calls, and ensure timely patient communication.
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details in the EMR system.
• Open/close the front office, maintain a clean waiting area, and support clinic flow.

What You'll Do

As a Patient Services Representative at OrthoAtlanta, you'll:

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and help with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-through
• Input and update patient demographics, insurance information, and visit details into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, keep the waiting area clean and organized, and work assigned EMR "buckets" to support clinic flow
