Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, LLC, a leading orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Georgia, seeks a front desk coordinator for our Locust Grove clinic. You will greet patients, manage check-ins, collect payments, and coordinate appointments in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The role requires at least 4 years in a medical office, strong communications, and familiarity with EMR systems. Epic experience is a plus; join our team dedicated to Quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
• Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and discretion with patient information.
• Experience with front office leadership, financial reconciliation, and insurance verification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in/out, and assist with appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and balances, explaining financial policies.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments and handle calls.
• Input/update patient demographics, injury information, insurance details, and referrals in EMR.
• Open/close front office, maintain waiting area, and monitor reschedules or cancellations.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; coordinate imaging or referrals.
• Manage EMR buckets and support clinical staff with documentation.
• Assist with daily cash drawer reconciliation and billing entry.

What You'll Do

• Greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and assist with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately, while explaining financial policies as needed
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-up
• Input and update patient demographics, case injury information, insurance details, and referrals into the EMR system
• Open and close the front office, maintain a clean and organized waiting area, and monitor appointment reschedules or cancellations
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain necessary forms, and coordinate with outside facilities for imaging or referrals
• Work assigned EMR “buckets” (e.g., No Show, Reschedule, Missing Slips) and support clinical staff with documentation and follow-through
• Assist with daily cash drawer reconciliation, deposits, and billing charge entry to ensure accurate end-of-day financial reporting

What You’ll Need
