Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Service Representative to process Self Pay accounts receivable and determine resolutions to obtain payment. The role includes mentoring peers, delivering education sessions, and continually developing skills to support department workload.

You will work across teams to ensure accurate processing, timeliness, and strong communications with patients and other departments, aligned with Mercy’s mission and service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of Revenue Cycle experience preferred or similar duties.
• Healthcare billing, insurance experience and Epic knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Process Self Pay accounts receivable and determine payments.
• Mentor peers and conduct education sessions as needed.
• Develop skills and learn workflows, policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Maintain excellent communications with peers, patients and other departments in line with Mercy standards.
