RWJBarnabas Health in Howell, NJ seeks a Patient Services Representative to join the Aldrich Primary Care team. You will greet patients, check them in/out, schedule appointments, and coordinate follow-ups, ensuring a smooth, compassionate patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. Prior medical office experience is a plus; full-time daytime hours are offered.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required with relevant experience or training.
Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience in medical receptionist or general office roles is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and performing check-in/check-out with professionalism.

As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), a typical day might include the following:

Welcoming patients and performing patient check-in and check-out functions with professionalism and compassion.
Preparing for patient visits by reviewing schedules and ensuring all necessary information is available.
Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating follow-up visits as needed.
Answering routine questions in person and over the telephone while providing exceptional customer service.
Performing clerical responsibilities including copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail.
Creating, maintaining, filing, and organizing patient health record information.
Coordinating with insurance providers and handling pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary.
Protecting patient privacy and contributing to a safe, efficient, and welcoming practice environment.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and relevant experience and/or training. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, previous medical receptionist or general office experience, and knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Please advise this a Full-Time position, Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm.
