Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred. (Required in Louisiana.)
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture and other collection procedures clearly.
• Disposes of specimens and biohazard materials according to laws and policies.
• Maintains required records and documentation in PathConnect and other systems.
