Qualifications

• One year's current experience with insurance billing and/or medical collection and medical terminology.
• Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
• Collegiate or medical trade completion. Associates Degree.
• Type 30 wpm, 10-key experience, excellent customer relations skills, and current knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient with 10-key.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance and communicates with carriers for reimbursement.
• Performs daily and monthly close out procedures for internal controls and cash balancing.
• Maintains knowledge of co-pays, deductibles and workers' compensation protocols to ensure accurate billing.
• Promotes customer satisfaction with professional communication.
• Maintains knowledge of corporate policies as they relate to clinic operations.
• Answers telephones and directs messages promptly to maintain workflow.
• Keeps files and records organized and confidential.
• Inputs demographic and medical data accurately and assists patients with financial counseling.
• Completes duties assigned by the Clinic Manager in a timely manner.
• Achieves assigned goals.
