Low-T – Knoxville is seeking a Medical Assistant / Patient Services Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for patients and support clinical services under licensed providers. This role blends patient-facing customer service, clinical skills, and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth daily clinic operations and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong patient service and communication skills.
• Comfortable discussing insurance, billing, and payments with patients.
• Proficient with EHR and Microsoft Office.
• Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner.
• Explain insurance benefits, coverage, and out-of-pocket costs clearly and compassionately.
• Collect and process patient payments accurately.
• Answer phones, manage messages, and respond to patient communications.
• Enter and maintain accurate patient and insurance information in the EHR.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk and waiting area.
• Support scheduling, administrative tasks, and clinic flow.
• Complete daily cash reconciliation and bank deposits.
