Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist II for the CLC Radiology Admin, working a 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on-site schedule in Texas City, TX. The role coordinates clerical and medical activities, supports patient registration, and ensures access to UTMB services for new and returning patients.

The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree with clerical or customer service experience; BLS is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 1 year clerical or customer service experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive patient experience by coordinating clerical and medical activities.
• Lead responsibilities and triage problems to support clinic flow.
• Register patients by obtaining demographics and third-party coverage; verify eligibility.
• Schedule appointments and provide financial counseling; give cost estimates to patients.
• Protect patient confidentiality and document interactions per policy.
