Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience (admitting, business office, scheduling) required.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and provide excellent customer service.
• Insurance knowledge and ability to read insurance cards and benefit details.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and registers patients for the outpatient clinic.
• Verifies eligibility and ensures pre-authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications are obtained.
• Trains new Patient Service Coordinator team members.
• Manages daily front office operations and throughput; improves front office processes.
• Serves as liaison with revenue cycle staff and clinic leadership.
• Leads staff meetings and ensures coverage for front office.
