Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical and/or behavioral health office.
• High School Diploma or GED required. AA or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification from a licensed program as a Medical Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical and/or behavioral health office.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and assist with client information, form completion, and consents.
• Set appointments and log daily client appointments in the EHR.
• Create charts in EHR for new or scheduled clients.
• Follow up on missed appointments to re-engage patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, and co-pays.
• Obtain pre-authorizations/pre-certifications as required.
• Document all insurance and benefits information in the EHR.
• Coordinate care with labs, behavioral health, and other providers.
